OKI adds mobility to the mix for SMBs

Sydney, July 2013 – OKI Data Australia, a global manufacturer of business printers and multifunction devices, has strengthened its printing portfolio with the launch of the new wireless-enabled MC562dnw A4 colour 4-in-1 MFP for small to medium–sized businesses. The new printer blends low total cost of ownership with high quality document output using LED digital technology.

Combining a wide range of functions and useful business tools, the new MC562dnw MFP offers superior printing speeds, media flexibility and high capacity toners to support larger workgroups. It also offers wireless connections to an IT network enabling businesses to place the device anywhere in the office without the need for network ports, whilst also letting users print directly from their smartphone or tablet devices.

The MC562dnw is also one of the first in OKI’s line up with Apple’s AirPrint support.

This mobile printing solution allows iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch users to print a wide variety of documents to any AirPrint enabled printer, without the need to download confusing software or install drivers. The Apple technology combined with OKI’s powerful LED technology, allow users to print high quality business documents with even more freedom and flexibility.

“With the increasing number of mobile workers, it is essential that OKI provides a comprehensive mobile printing solution to help drive efficiency. Adding support for AirPrint on some of our key devices, and allowing users to print from iPhone, iPad or iPod touch is necessary to help support this growing market trend”, said Antonio Leone, Marketing Manager at OKI Data Australia. ‘’Add to this the flexibility, efficiency, reliability and quality afforded by LED printing technology and the assurance of a 3 year warranty, the MC562dnw is a smart investment for small to medium businesses”, Leone added.

The use of high capacity 7k black toner cartridges, 30k black drums and deep sleep mode features in the MC562dnw MFP reduce energy consumption to less than 1.5W boosting the MFP’s cost saving functionality. OFF mode automatically powers down from Deep Sleep, reducing energy consumption to 0.5W when not in use.
